A continental ladies desk, circa late 1800s. The desk is made of mahogany wood with inlaid maple, mother of pearl, and birds eye maple. This piece of furniture measures about 4ft 4in tall and 27 1/4in wide. In very good condition for its age, there are normal scratches from age and use, but everything is otherwise in an excellent state. The Immigrant’s chest (ca. 1780-1820) is of oak and is in fine condition with all of the hardware intact. The twisted wrought iron handles and the ditty box which was used to hold candles which was their only source of lighting are in fine shape also. There is a molding that was placed around the bottom that is not original. It can be removed. Enclosed are pictures of the bottom from a couple of angles so one can see there is no damage on the bottom and that is one piece of hand-hewn wood. The piece is 49 1/2”w, 20” h, 19 3/4” d and the top piece is 5” high at the peak.

This beautiful mahogany wooden chair also has foliage/floral inlay designed with maple wood and a oval shaped mother of pearl in the center of the chair back. It measures 22 1/2” (long) x 16 1/2” (wide) x 43” (high). In “as-is” condition, the chair slightly wobbles and is worn in places.

American Victorian mahogany etageré/china cabinet, circa 1875. It measures 50 x 16 x 70in. The center three mirrored shelves are locked behind a glass door. On the edges of each side are three columned wooden shelves. The top of the cabinet has a mirrored framed by an ornate carved wooden pattern. In excellent condition for its age, the wood is still sturdy and securely crafted together.
